We had a fun trip to Portland to visit with the West Coast Lougeay's. Cousin Ava was super excited to visit with Abraham!! Didn't do to much, just hung out and played. Good food and company was shared.

Time out for a picture. Ava kept trying to get Abraham to look at the camera!

Big helper

Happy spring!! Abraham is very happy to have his buddy Jackson back in town. They got to play together for a couple days in a row while Jen got unpacked from the move back. We are enjoying the weather outside again. Even though we had snow on Sunday, today was gorgeous and sunny! The rest of the week is supposed to stay nice as well.

We head up to Portland this week to see the WCLs and Uncle Christopher!! Should be a fun time.

Good buddies

1st Ball game!

Welcome to spring...we hope. Yesterday there was snow blowing all day and rain pounding down. At least we can see the mountains today. Last weekend, everybody made it to the local baseball franchise, the sky sox (AAA for the rockies), to catch a Sunday afternoon game. Well, when I say everybody, I should rephrase that to say everybody but ME!! I ended up having to work. But, Abraham went to the game with dad, grandpa, grandma, great great uncle herb and even uncle jake made an appearance. There was lots to see and learn. Sox the Fox was a big hit with Aber's, as long as he didn't get to close.

We are still loving the outside world, playing outside daily. Abraham is able to climb up the play set in the back yard all by himself, scoot along on his little outdoor riding toy, cut the grass with his own mower, empty the bird bath, and so many more things! He has also started to potty train. Talk about a full time job! I was exhausted by the end of the first full day! He is doing all right. He will sit down by himself on his potty, diaper and all, and work on going. He tells us each time he is going in his diaper by asking for help using sign language and then pulling at his diaper. It's just hard to actually go on the potty! We have had some success though. Enjoy the pictures.

Running circles around the kitchen with my diaper bag in tow!

Sitting at the game with my favorite uncle jake.

Look Grandpa! There's sox the fox! Uncle Herb sitting enjoying as well. He LOVES abraham.

It's Sox!!

Well Grandma. That was a 5-4-3 double play! The final picture is of the boys heading home. Uncle Herb provided his chariot for Abraham's riding pleasure. The blog is being funny today and I can't seem to get the pictures and text to line up.

My outside man

No day is complete at this house unless your outside and getting dirty. This shot is after Abraham was "helping" move dirt and rocks.

Eternal happiness is a boy outside.
Kisses for dad through the deck! Abraham is turning into a super lovey boy, turning our faces towards his and then giving us an open mouth slobber fest!

Easter Fun

Happy Easter and Passover, everybody! We had a nice visit with Abraham's other grandmother, Bubbie, for a few days. He enjoyed playing ball. We hope you can come and stay longer next time!

We also had a lot of fun with Easter this year. Abraham really enjoyed dying the eggs, dropping them in the cups and then going fishing for them. His right hand was purple by the time we were done. We went to church as a whole family on Easter Sunday and joined Grandma and Grandpa. Home for a big nap so that we would have energy for an Easter egg hunt!! Thanks gma, gpa and uncle Jake for hiding the eggs. Aber's had a great time finding the eggs and hurling them in the basket. We ended up hiding them a second time outside! The weather was beautiful, dinner was good, and we got to just sit outside and enjoy the day. It sure is nice having family in the area.

Hope everybody had an awesome holiday as well!

Dad's home!!

Hello all! Just a few pictures and updates now that aber's is a big 14 months old! He thinks he is hot stuff, going down the slide in the backyard all by himself from the top. Lucky for us, when we bought the house, we had a great play set that came with the deal. He is a very adventurous little bugger, sliding and running around in the "fort." David had to go to Lincoln, NE for a few days, and while he was on his way home, I got the flu. Nobody seems to remember when the last time I was sick like this, including Grandma. Thank goodness she was so willing to come and help out until DB got home. I am on the mend and we are starting to enjoy spring break...with a CRAZY spring storm that just blew in at least a few inches of snow with more coming.

WWHHHHEEEEE. Go Lions....World Cup baby!
Trying to climb the steps like big people!

Anybody up for some baseball? I know my friend Owen M has been in spring training too!

Things to do while dad's away

Hard to believe that the 3 weeks have come and gone while David was in Cameroon. We made the most of our time and had fun. I worked a few shifts and then we headed to the cabin with Grandma, Great Uncle Herb, and Toiyabe. We spent lots of time outside as the weather was awesome. We did head into St Louis a couple of times as well, to visit family and head to the zoo!! Spring break starts next week and we are planning on staying put. Hope the warmer weather is finding you wherever you are!

Wheel barrow races.
His own vacuum that makes noise and all!! Best thrift store find ever!
Leaf blowing.
Working on a baby blanket for his cousin.
Nap time on the deck watching the fire, hanging with his favorite Grandma.
Never to early in the morning for a phone call, milk, and snow boots.
Petting some goats at the St. Louis zoo.
Align Center
Feeding the birds breakfast.
Matching Grandpa in Cardinal's attire!
