Fly swatter funnies

David killed a pesky fly 2 nights ago and this it what Abraham thought of it. We had the instant replay many times. Abers even needed to try. More pictures to follow of our trip home from camp and his first fair with friends Jackson, Maddie, and Jen.

Fourth of July off weekend

We had a wonderful time off together this past weekend. The nice hotel in town, The Hampton Inn, luckily had a room for us. It was even lake front. Other than a crazy 3 year old that pulled a fire alarm 3 times and us complaining nicely to get a free night, we enjoyed every minute. Abraham LOVED playing in their kid pool. Once he figured out the slide, he couldn't stop going down...especially on his belly. Unfortunately, I didn't get a video of his belly laugh every time he did it. Fishing is still the favorite activity. He has learned how to "cast" and then will even try to reel in his catch. It's really fun when he catches mom or dad.

Hard to believe, but we are wrapping up our last week or so here at camp. David still has one trip to go and then we have a family road trip home, plus Bertrand and our new nanny Alex "Muffin" Button. Should be a great time. The new findings here are that Aber's actually has a real word that somebody other than his mother can understand. The other day, he was in the health center, had eaten a go-gurt for snack, walked to the fridge, and then asked for more. He used his sign at the same time he said "mohr" very clearly and more than once! What a first word! He is also very clearly calling MAMA.

Grabbing the water and having a good time when it splashed him.

Happy faced smiles coming down the slide.
First 4th of July parade. He really liked the music and would dance any time a float with music came by.
Dumping little babies out of strollers after holding them by an ankle upside down. Might have some work to do before the next one gets here!

Playing in the sand with his new favorite person.

Lac Du Bois...or lake of the woods.

This is our swimming beach at the French site, on Turtle River Lake. Yesterday's temps were mid 90s, and will stay that way for the next couple of days. The other nurse and I snuck down during nap time and got peace and quiet. Abraham wasn't to sure about walking barefoot in the water, but did okay. He had more fun sending me in for more sand so he could dump his buckets! We have a long family off weekend starting tomorrow around noon time and then head back to site on Monday morning. Should be a nice, relaxing weekend together!!

Cracking himself up because he moved the sand. He heard a motor boat and went running to the end of the dock to wave. Luckily the boaters saw his wave and returned it, making him even prouder of himself!

Happy 4th of July!

Final picture!

13 weeks. Enjoy Grandma!
Here you go, the last pictures I forgot to send. Aber's LOVES his stacking toy and will cuddle it and take it for a walk. He will even give Bear big slobbers.

Hi Grandma!

Hey Grandma! Here are some pictures and a quick video just for you! Eating first breakfast at our cabin out of a beach bucket. He was very helpful this morning, earning 3 stickers! We did laundry, swept our room, and emptied trash all by 0630.

Waving to Grandma. He had a full mouth and wasn't able to smile.

Here's a silly video. Abraham wanted you to eat a raisin with him! David gets home tomorrow sometime and has plans for the man to sleep out at his site until we head into town on Saturday. I think he is getting his 2 year molars in. The grumpiness, not eating, and wanting to chew my fingers seem like a good sign!

Better run!

Happy early birthday Grandma!

We decided to celebrate Grandma's birthday while Grandpa was in town for the weekend and before we left for camp. We had a great time and enjoyed burgers and such on the grill in between rain drops. Abraham of course enjoyed the ice cream cake.

We had an uneventful drive to MN this year. Abraham was AWESOME for the 3 days we had him in the carseat. We did end up taking hour long breaks here and there to play. In case you ever decide to drive through Platte, South Dakota, there is the coolest park 4 blocks south of the main road. They had a 3 story playground!!! Super cool, fun place to stop for breakfast. Our campsite was beautiful this year. It was right on the Missouri river - Buryanek State Park. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed a magnificent sunrise.

Ice cream cake time

Abraham trying to find a way to kiss Grandpa under his silly head cover.

Super Baby!!
Missouri River where Lewis and Clark probably camped!
Early morning risers.Abraham of course slept wonderfully in the 45 degree weather. Such an outside baby!

Helping me sort meds in my health center. Cabinet sleeping in the new way to go!

That's all for now. We love care packages!!

We had a fun trip to Portland to visit with the West Coast Lougeay's. Cousin Ava was super excited to visit with Abraham!! Didn't do to much, just hung out and played. Good food and company was shared.

Time out for a picture. Ava kept trying to get Abraham to look at the camera!

Grandma busy cooking with her mickey mouse ears that Jack let her borrow!

Uncle David gets a pretty headband from Ava and Grandpa gets Viking horns....hmmmm..

Ava needs a hug and kiss from her cousin!

Raisins and relaxin....

Happy birthday, Dad!

Wow!! Lots of smoke for the big 39.
Dad's present...a new headlamp! Somebody was very excited to try it out.

Loving the snaggle.
