Hey everybody!
I have decided to get a blog going so you know what's going on with us, where we are, where we're going, and the likes. Plus, pictures of all the fun along the way!
We have been at camp now for 2 weeks. We are having a great time. Luckily, the mosquito's have gotten better these last couple of days. They were really starting to get Abraham on the face. He's been a trooper though and hasn't been any fussier than usual. Since we've gotten here, Abraham has enjoyed copious amounts of real food!! We started him on solids a couple of Saturdays ago. I will put pictures up if I figure it out.
The health center we are in this summer is AWESOME!! We have the best views of the lake of any building on site...looking right across the lake at David's camp. On the way up from Colorado, we had our first tent camping experience. It was only car camping, but good enough for us. Abraham has his own little tent that we put up in ours. No need to worry about rolling over him! Plus, it is great for the bugs up here. The night was about 40 degrees, but the little guy was nice and warm. It was the best night of sleep he's had since he was born!
Other than that, we are here for a couple more weeks. Abraham continues to grow and get more pleasant as the weeks go by. While we, mainly Mom, were ready to trade him in at times, his personality is really starting to come through. It is getting to be more and more fun! He loves his swing we hung from the health center porch. All the ladies stop by to flirt, the wind blows his hair, and he can watch dad paddle over to visit in the mornings.
The stats: 5 months old on fathers day. 17#, 28.25 inches, 2 teeth on the bottom.
Hope this works!
Abraham is awesome! I am so glad that you have posted this blog. I only wish we were close enough to hold, hug and kiss him!

yay! the blog is off to an awesome start. Dad feels bad that he is so far away and he really misses being with mom and Abers. The short paddle-over visits just aren't enough, and then when I'm on trip it's a whole week away :(
ReplyDeleteLook for blog contributions from dad in the future- my nearest internet while at base camp is only a 3 mintue bike ride away.
love,
david
Atta girl, this is a great way to watch Abers grow since we are too far away to follow his progress in real time. Can't wait till August when the 3 of you visit. No mosquitoes here!
ReplyDeleteElise laughted at her mommy when they were visiting us the other day, and it's the most magical of sounds. Can't wait to hear Evies' version of laughter...
hugs,
me
