Leadville camping trip birthday week.

We headed up to Leadville, CO (elevation 10222ft) for an evening of camping and paddling. Our campsite was GORGEOUS! It was a high alpine lake, surrounded by pines. The wind was up when we got there, but died down as the evening passed. The morning was beautiful, but a bit cold. The temp was 38 degrees when we got up! Abraham, as always, loved to be outside. He helped stack firewood, cook dinner, blow up the thermarests, do dishes, paddle, load the canoe, feed Toiyabe and so much more. He even managed to continue to potty train himself. This boy is determined.

Super baby using the ergo to get stuff done.

Helping around camp.

Beautiful site.

Just a boy and his dad going fishing and drinking beer while dinner cooks.

Silly boy!

Breakfast!

Hot tea and coffee on a 38 degree morning.

Extra relaxed.

So tired. Fell soundly asleep after about 5 minutes in the canoe. Stayed this way for an hour.

Good work fishing, mom!

Some picturesque potty time.
The resting post.
Taking a break, leaning on a tree. Hard work packing up camp.

Helping bring the trash can back.
